The BARRIE
CANOE & KAYAK CLUB
PRESENTS THE
2012 REEL PADDLING FILM FESTIVAL WORLD TOUR
APRIL 13TH & 14TH

The 2012 Reel Paddling Film Festival:
Every year Rapid Media receives dozens of new paddling films ranging from exotic expeditions to someone’s summer vacation. Some films are home grown, some are for sale in paddling shops and others are produced for TV audiences. None however are seen by as many paddlers as they should be.
The Reel Paddling Festival was created to share these films, stories and adventures.
This will be the seventh year of these film festivals which will be screened in over 70 cities across the country for more then 13000 paddlers and their friends. It is made possible by local hosts, Festival sponsors and people like you and me who are out there paddling the worlds greatest rivers , lakes and oceans with movie cameras in their hands.
This spring the Barrie Canoe and Kayak is hosting this event at the THE UPTOWN CINEMA (Formerly the Imperial)-(55 Dunlop St) in Barrie.
We have invited some of our local related businesses and paddling advocates to bring displays to the venue on Dunlop Street so that together we might offer patrons an interesting evening of paddling activities from far and wide and the opportunity to talk with the vendors during intermission.
On Saturday there will be Matinee with a slightly shorter program, and both the Friday evening and Saturday evening film selections will be different.
Some of the familiar faces you might see there are:
Barrie Canoe & Kayak Club, Sojourn, M.E.C., Paddle Shack, Canoe North, Friends of Minesing and a few more to come. Why not Join us on April 13th and 14th for an evening of paddling adventures and interesting displays.
We hope to see you there.
